your installed version of After the Fact Payroll. On
the opening screen, you'll see the current release number. Is your
current release number 2.04 or higher?
If yes, please  .
You do NOT need to apply this update, but you should check to see if a
more current release is available.
If no, if your version number is lower than
2.04, please continue on this page.

REMOVE the 3 1/2 inch diskette containing the
update from drive a: and put it aside. |

| 2.
Perform the backup routine in After the
Fact Payroll for Windows. Clearly label your backup media and
set it aside before continuing. |
|
Applying this update will erase the present
database. You will be able to replace data you have already
entered by using the "RESTORE" function after you install the
update.

| 3. Install
the update. To get started, replace the 3 1/2 inch
diskette containing the update in drive a: |
| Click on "My
Computer". Then click on floppy drive a: |
| Double click on "A:QEAFT02_04182002.exe"
-- a self-extracting file will open and ask you where you want the
update installed. For most users, this will be the default
location (c:\program files\qeaft-2002). (If
this folder isn't where the program was originally installed, use the
"Browse" capability to locate the directory). |
| Now, click on
"UNZIP" -- this will replace the old program module and
database with the update. |
| When installation is completed
-- this takes only a second or two -- click on "OK" followed
by "CLOSE". Re-boot your PC. |
| 4. RESTORE
the data from the backup you made in step #2. Use the
"Restore" routine in Quick & Easy After the Fact
Payroll for Windows. |
