Download the latest update for Quick & Easy After the Fact Payroll for Windows for Tax Year 2012.

ALWAYS BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE PERFORMING ANY UPDATE!!

THIS RELEASE INCLUDES THE FINAL VERSION OF FORM 941 (EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2013), AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY EMPLOYEE WITHHOLDING RATE OF 6.2%, SUPPORT FOR THE MEDICARE WITHHOLDING SURTAX ON WAGES OVER $200,000, AND SUPPORT FOR HEALTH CARE INSURANCE PREMIUM PAYMENTS FOR 2% SUBCHAPTER "S" SHAREHOLDERS.

NOTE: THIS RELEASE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 2012 YEAR-END FORMS THAT WERE INCLUDED IN RELEASE 12.04, ISSUED IN JANUARY. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET INSTALLED THAT RELEASE, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO INSTALL THAT RELEASE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ONE.

1. When asked where you wish to download the file, specify the Windows Desktop

2. Once the download is completed, close all windows applications that are currently running. The easiest way to be sure you've done this is simply to restart your PC.

3. When the PC has restarted, locate the file you downloaded on your Desktop.

Then, double click on the file you downloaded. It is named "qeaft2012_REL_1206_Mar_20_2013.exe"

A self-extracting file will open and ask you where you want the update installed. For most users, this will be the default location (c:\program files\qeaft-2012). (If this folder isn't where the program was originally installed, use the "Browse" capability to locate the directory).

Now, click on "UNZIP" -- this will replace the old program module with the update you have downloaded.

When installation is completed -- this takes only a few seconds -- click on "OK" followed by "CLOSE".

After installing the update, we recommend that you copy the file you downloaded from the Desktop to a CD-ROM, which you can label and keep with your original program diskette. You can then delete the download from your desktop.
